Blane52: 52 Songs. 52 Weeks. A New Chapter for Alexander Blane.
At AB Music Group, we’ve always believed in the long game—not just singles and moments, but story, consistency, and evolution. In 2026, we’re putting that belief on full display with a bold campaign from our flagship artist, Alexander Blane :
#Blane52 – 52 songs in 52 weeks.
One new release, every week, for an entire year.
This isn’t just a release schedule. It’s a journey through everything that made Blane who he is: the DTP/Lyriq era, the solo grind, the highs, the heartbreaks, the performances, the visuals, the comeback, and the faith to keep going when most people would’ve stopped.
#Blane52 has officially begun—with the first two records “Need Me” and “Cozy” already out, and the third release “Hold It Steady” up next.
What Is #Blane52?
On the surface, #Blane52 is a release and content strategy:
- 52 songs
- 52 weeks
- New music every Friday in 2026
But underneath that, it’s about much more:
- Reclaiming the narrative – Blane has been respected in the industry but often overlooked. This campaign makes it impossible to ignore the work, the catalog, and the story.
- Consistent elevation – Each release builds on the last: sonically, visually, and emotionally.
- Documenting the journey in real time – From DTP/Lyriq to Greatest Hits, From The Block, Jamaica, Vegas, Maui and beyond, #Blane52 lets you see the timeline unfold instead of hearing it secondhand.
- Betting on ourselves – No major-label machine. Just Blane, the team, and AB Music Group committing to show up for a year straight.
This is the kind of campaign most people talk about but are afraid to execute. We’re not just talking about it—we’re doing it.
Week 1 – “Need Me” (Out Now)
We kicked off #Blane52 with “Need Me” , a cinematic R&B record that lives in the space between confidence and vulnerability.
“Need Me” is Blane talking his talk, but it’s deeper than a flex. It’s about who actually gets access to him—his presence, his energy, his legacy. He’s not chasing validation. He is the standard, and he’s intentional about who gets close.

From the artwork to the video and the ad push that helped it cross tens of thousands of views out the gate, “Need Me” sets the tone for #Blane52: high quality, intentional storytelling, and no shortcuts.
Week 2 – “Cozy” (Out Now)
The second record in the series is “Cozy” .
If “Need Me” is about access, “Cozy” is about chemistry and comfort—but not in a cliché way. It’s that grown, layered energy where what you have together doesn’t compare to anything outside. Blane leans into the tension, suspicion, distance, and pressure that come with that kind of connection.
Visually, we leaned into a COLORS-style performance: solid background, hanging mic, Alexander Blane front and center. No distractions—just the artist, the record, and the emotion.

With “Need Me” and “Cozy” , the #Blane52 universe is officially open—and we’re just getting started.
Week 3 – “Hold It Steady” (Next Week’s Release)
Release Date: Jan 16, 2026
Theme – “Hold It Steady”
“Hold It Steady” is a modern R&B intimacy record about control, reassurance, and the slow-burn power of being fully present. Blane isn’t just talking sex—he’s talking rhythm and trust: “hold it steady” as both a physical command and an emotional promise. The song lives in that space between temptation and devotion, distance and desire, confidence and vulnerability— where pleasure becomes the proof that the connection is real and still locked in.
About This Record
On “Hold It Steady,” Alexander Blane is in his grown-man bag—calm, commanding, intentional. He starts from a place of uncertainty (“Can’t make my mind up…”) but the moment intimacy enters, everything snaps into focus.
He’s speaking to a woman who wants him now, even when he’s away—painting late-night scenes, bathtub fantasies, and the urgency of holding her over until he gets there. With lines that blend desire and provider energy (Cartagena across the water, “a couple thousand… a day’s work”), Blane turns seduction into a promise: you’re safe with me, you’re satisfied with me, and I’m about to make sure you feel it.
This is a record about anticipation, steady pressure, and the kind of pleasure that doesn’t rush—it builds.
Week 4 – Coming Jan 23, 2026
Release Date: Jan 23, 2026
Week 4 of #Blane52 is already locked in and scheduled. A new record will drop on January 23, 2026, continuing the story that started with “Need Me,” “Cozy,” and “Hold It Steady.”
Some records in this campaign will be brand new. Others will be key moments from Blane’s journey that deserve fresh light and proper context. Week 4 continues that pattern—another piece of who Alexander Blane is as an artist, a man, and a storyteller.
Check back here and on the Blane52 hub for the official title, theme, artwork, and video once the Week 4 record is announced.

- Documenting the grind in a way fans, future supporters, and even other artists can look back on.
- Proving what’s possible when an independent artist and focused team commit to a vision for an entire year.
- Honoring the journey—the deals, the losses, the reinventions, the cities, the late nights, the risks, and the moments that almost broke us but didn’t.
“Need Me” was the first statement. “Cozy” is the second. “Hold It Steady” is next—and there are 49 more on the way.
